Skim Milk ?

This product has skim milk. How is this vegetarian? Also, silicon dioxide. Why all of these added ingredients. Potato starch?

Hello Woods, thank you for taking time to give us feedback. In answer to your questions, many vegetarians do include dairy in their diet so while the formula is not vegan, it can be considered vegetarian. We are also planning later this year to launch reformulated probiotics that are dairy free. As far as the other added ingredients, they are necessary to protect the potency and stability of the probiotics and help to keep moisture out.

Definitely dedicated to this probiotic daily. Had two rounds of c-diff in 2024 from antibiotics, and was educated by my gastro dr on the importance of a daily probiotic. She approved this one, and I will not let a day go by without it. When I was forced to take an antibiotic for a dental procedure, my gastro dr approved the one they used, and I took two of these a week in advance, and two weeks after the meds to be doubly assured of protection!

Won’t go a day without Super 8 Probiotics! Definitely is our go to for probiotics. We take 1 capsule daily then the alternating days take 2 capsules daily, spread out, not at once. We’ve found it lasts longer this way when maintaining.

1st I will say..these Super-8 really deliver! Having chronic hives Dec of 2000,and through trial and error..through diet,and quality prebiotic supplements..In come Flora..I had to much candida ..overloaded! I have my candida under control which is leaky gut I belive...hives completely under control...very happy with Flora Super 8....stomach works like a clock too...woo-hoo!

Package and physical quality of product are fine, but the probiotic itself gave me diarrhea and gas pretty bad and I had to discontinue it. I tried to email the company to get feedback and did not receive a response. I'm not sure what to do with the product at this point in time. It's quite possible that my issues are atypical.

Is there any time your refrigerated probiotics are NOT refrigerated at your facility BEFORE shipment?

Hi Janice,
The probiotics are not refrigerated while the capsules are being put in the bottles. They are stored in the cooler in our warehouse once bottled and ready to ship. We do extensive stability studies on our probiotics and this bottling period has no impact on their potency or quality.

Why only for people 55 and under?

Thanks for asking. the age range is not a rule, but a suggestion. All our probiotic formulas are safe for any adult that wishes to take them.

The reason we suggest this is best suited to those in their 30s to 40s, give or take some decades, is that it is made with them in mind.
These folks tend to eat out a lot, travel a lot, get exposed to lots of potential pathogens through their children and the type of social interactions they have. They may get some bouts of loose stool or food borne illness from things they have ingested.

This formula is 90% focused on strains like Lactobacillus Acidophilus that are best suited for the needs of these folks. It is great for the upper digestive tract which suits their needs, and it is antimicrobial.

The formulas that we suggest for older adults, like the Advanced adult blend, still have some of the same effects, but we make it closer to half of the formula, and add a bunch more support for regularity. Advanced Adult has a balance that is stronger in the bacteria that inhabit the colon and lower digestive tract, for a more bulking effect and is made to support the health of the colon compared to Super 8, more for folks that need to get things moving regularly and comfortably.
