RECOMMENDED ADULT DOSE: Mix 3 tablespoons of Flor•Essence® Made with Organic Turkey Tail & Turmeric with an equal amount of hot water. Take on an empty stomach 3 times daily. Sip slowly. This product contains mucilaginous mushroom polysaccharides, shake bottle well before use.

Hello. Very simple question about proportions: Mix 3 tablespoons Flor-Essence with equal part hot water...so 3 tablespoons of hot water? How do you sip 6 tablespoons of liquid? Thank you!

Hi Nicole, thank you for the question.

It is a little unexpected, as many people refer to the product as a tea, and 'sipping' 6 tablespoons (less than a half cup) of liquid may not sound right.

However, you are spot on, that's exactly the process.

FlorEssence is about 3x more concentrated than tea, and diluting it 2-3 times is therefore suggested.

The ritual of adding the FlorEssence and the hot water to a mug and sipping of that amount and not a larger more dilute mug of liquid is meant to do two things -

help you to taste the herbs, so that they can activate some digestive processes such as bile production and secretion of appetite and peristalsis-related hormones,

and secondarily but of equal importance, to give you the moment to relax, be focused on the immediate experience of the smell and feeling of steam, thereby shifting from "flight/flight/freeze" mode into "rest/digest/repair" mode, where of course, digestion and detoxification and healing take place.
