Making Our Apple Cider Vinegar Drinks

Flora’s Apple Cider Vinegar Drinks come in four flavors to delight the senses. Enjoy the crisp tang of organic apple cider vinegar expertly blended with botanicals and spices like elderberry, ginger & lemon, turmeric & cinnamon, and red beet.

These drinks are thoughtfully brewed in small batches using freshly ground ingredients blended with apple cider vinegar. The complex flavor of these digestive tonics is rounded out by adding seven of the herbs found in our world-famous Flor-Essence® tea. They are made on-site at Flora and steeped in a multi-step process using filtered water infusions and decoctions for 6-24 hours. Some of the ingredients are infused (think steeping tea) and others, the hardy roots, require a longer decoction period (like simmering).

The apple cider vinegar itself is first made from organic Granny Smith, Fuji, and Honey Crisp apples grown in the USA. Brewing is a two-step process: first, yeast is used to ferment apple juice to alcohol, then bacteria is added to convert alcohol to acetic and malic acid. In total, the apple juice ferments into vinegar in stainless steel tanks over the course of 30 days.

All the ingredients that make up the drink formulas are quality control tested for identity, microbiological contamination, heavy metals, pesticides, and other chemicals. We also test the acid content of the vinegar itself with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography.

There’s something about crisp, cool fall days that pairs perfectly with apple cider vinegar. Enjoy these drinks before meals to support healthy digestion* or use them to add some zing in your recipe and drink mixes. Try all four flavors and let us know which is your favorite!
