Chuckanut 50k…a race near & dear to our hearts!

Chuckanut 50k
Since 2010, Flora has been a proud sponsor of the Chuckanut 50k…a race that has been around for 23 years. In 2000, Flora Ambassador, Krissy Moehl, participated in the Chuckanut 50k…running her first ultra. There is something about that first ultra that holds a special pace in one’s heart…so when race founders, Doug McKeever and Richard West “retired”, Krissy wanted to ensure that this special race continued and has been coordinating it ever since with the help of many volunteers. Please join us on race day, Saturday, March 19th, as we cheer on the many runners including a few of our very own ambassadors including Sage Canaday and Ellie Greenwood. Flora’s Marketing Team will be at the finish line so please say “hello” and pick up some of our great products.

Ambassador Spotlight: Krissy Moehl

Raised in Bow, Washington Krissy has always loved looking at mountains, but it wasn’t until she joined the team in the early days of the Seattle Running Company that she learned to explore them. Trail running for over 15 years now has led to a resume including over 100 ultra races, 55 female wins, and iconic FKT’s (Fastest Known Times) including the Wonderland Trail 93 miles and most recently the Tahoe Rim Trail 170 miles. Moehl most recently authored a training manual titled Running Your First Ultra: Customizable Training Plans for Your First 50k to 100-Mile Race.
