Quality Control Team Leader
Flora Inc. (“Flora”) is currently seeking a Quality Control Team Leader for our Lynden, WA location.
The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Team Leader is to ensure that finished goods and bulk material are tested on a timely basis and in accordance with the shipping schedule and production requirements. The Quality Control Team Leader must demonstrate strong planning and organisational abilities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must have a good knowledge of Quality Control and GMP. Other key attributes include good problem solving and leadership skills. The Quality Control Team Leader reports to the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager.
Job Description:

Release of finished products and raw materials
-
Approve product specification and test methods
-
Enforce and interpret test results
-
Maintain and file Q.C. documents
-
Ensure reference samples are kept in sufficient quantity and are stored properly
-
Take part in product recalls
-
Provide support for solving production problems and new product development
-
Provide product quality related information to sales department
-
Coordinate Q.C. testing
-
Responsible for product stability program
-
Monitor Q.C. in-process checks and resolve related problems
-
Ensure GMP compliance in the Q.C. Department
-
Handle and Approval of returned products
-
Supervise daily Q.C. functions
-
Assist in other various duties and special projects
Qualification Requirement:
-
A University Degree or Technical Diploma in related scientific field
-
2 – 5 years of working experience in Pharmaceutical, Dietary Supplements or Food industries preferred
-
Strong leadership skills
-
Strong knowledge of the natural health products industry
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-
Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, Windows and Internet Explorer
-
Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively
-
Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy
Compensation: $35,000 - $40,000 depending on experience + comprehensive benefits package.

Sales Representative
Flora Inc. (“Flora”) is currently seeking a qualified Sales Representative to service our customers in the Denver, Colorado area.
Job Description:
As a Sales Representative for Flora you will visit and support retailers in your assigned territory on a regular schedule in order to promote and sell Flora products. You will assist customers and their staff with education about Flora’s products and help plan sales promotions.
The successful applicant will be customer service oriented, excellent communications skills, and have a proven record of accomplishment in sales. We are looking for a self starter, who can work as part of a team, is creative and flexible.
Responsibilities Include:

Participate in sales and business development activities including proposals and pitches with the goal of winning new business

Negotiate contracts with customers
-
Develop ongoing and profitable relationships with current and potential customers
-
Work closely with Regional Sales Manager in planning and developing strategies and implementing programs to ensure effective selling, promotion, customer education and seamless customer service and satisfaction
-
Setting up and maintaining store displays for our retail customers as applicable
-
Responsible for achieving personal sales targets within an assigned territory
-
Distribute sales and marketing literature to current and potential customers
-
Participate in Company Sales Meetings and activities as required
-
Participate in trade shows as required
-
Produce weekly sales reports for the Regional Sales Manager

Some overnight travel is required
Skills & Qualifications:

University or College degree in Business Administration and/or Marketing
-
1 - 3 years of previous industry related sales experience
-
Knowledge of the natural health products industry an asset
-
Proven leadership skills
-
Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups
Reliable transportation is required as the position involves overnight travel.
