Royal jelly is a milky-white, gelatinous, water-based substance created by worker bees for nourishing larvae and the queen bee. Larvae that are fed only royal jelly become queen bees; the rest become worker bees. Whereas worker bees have a life span of only 6 weeks, the queen lives for 4-6 years and grows up to 60% larger than the workers. The queen bee also lays approximately 2000 eggs per day (female worker bees are infertile).
Royal Jelly is a nutritional powerhouse! It contains all of the B-complex vitamins, minerals, vitamins A, C, D and E, enzymes, hormones and 18 amino acids. It also contains the nucleic acids DNA and RNA.
