Q1: What is Flor•Essence^®?

A1: Flor•Essence^® is a tea blend of eight herbs.

Specifically, Flor•Essence^® contains Burdock Root (Arctium lappa L.), Turkish Rhubarb Root (Rheum palmatum L.), Sheep Sorrel (Rumex acetosella L.), Slippery Elm Bark (Ulmus rubra Muhl.), Watercress (Nasturtium officinale R. Br.), Blessed Thistle (Cnicus benedictus L.), Red Clover (Trifolium pratense L.) and Kelp (Laminaria digitata Lmx).

Q2: What does Flor•Essence^® do?

A2: We believe that the unique combination of herbs found in Flor•Essence^® helps to detoxify and rejuvenate organs and maintain their peak efficiency for ultimate good health and may help to strengthen the immune system. The majority of herbs in Flor-essence have antioxidant, immunostimulant and anti-inflammatory properties documented in pre-clinical and clinical studies.

Q3:  Is Flor•Essence^® safe?

A3:  Yes.

Since 1995, consumers have purchased over eight million packages of Flor•Essence^® worldwide. Flora maintains detailed records of consumer’s complaints and reports collected by the Product Information Department. Flora’s analysis of over 10,000 consumer reports in Canada and the United States has confirmed that Flor•Essence^® is safe to use under recommended conditions and current labeling. A number of beneficial effects also reported include: better digestion, improved sleep, increased energy and overall well-being.

Q4: Can Flor•Essence^® cure or prevent cancer?

A4: We acknowledge the lively debate about the benefits of all herbal therapies, however, there is a lack of conclusive clinical evidence – pro or con - about many alternative or complementary therapies or products used to cure or prevent cancer. Several experimental studies (in vitro or in vivo) conducted by independent researchers have been published and have produced positive, negative and inconclusive results (1).

Numerous factors can influence the methodological quality and results of experimental studies and extrapolation to humans is not always reliable or feasible. To date many of the studies involving Flor•Essence^® have been preliminary and as a result inconclusive.
