Product Development Coordinator
Flora Manufacturing & Distributing Ltd. (“Flora”) is currently seeking a Product Development Coordinator for our Burnaby location.
The Product Development Coordinator is Responsible for the development of Flora’s Natural Health Products.
Job Description:
-
Coordinate the product development and improvement process from concept to launch
-
Perform compatibility, cleaning evaluation and validation studies of formulation trials and provide reports
-
Conduct trail runs, bench top experiments and analytical works
-
Provide input into the development of specifications of products and packaging materials
-
Provide submission rationale for formulations
-
Generate formulation trial procedure; manufacturing procedure and provide staff training
-
Respond to questions from other departments and provide product information regarding formulation rationale and procedure
-
Develop and revise SOPs related to formulation development
-
Perform basic costing and initiate material sourcing
-
Research and develop market
Requirements:
-
B Sc. In Pharmacy, pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related sciences
-
3 – 5 years related working experience, preferably in Natural Health Product development
-
Excellent understanding of typical development and manufacturing processes in various dosage forms for sterile and non-sterile products
-
Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements (i.e. Health Canada; FDA and EU)
-
Excellent understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-
Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, Windows and Internet Explorer
-
Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively
-
Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy
Compensation:
$50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience + comprehensive benefits package.

Bilingual Customer Service Representative
Flora Manufacturing & Distributing Ltd. (“Flora”) is currently seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative at our Burnaby, B.C. location. Flora is a leading manufacturer and world wide distributor of natural health products, vitamins, supplements, and herbal remedies.
Job Description:
As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for assisting our French/English speaking customers with order processing, shipping and related inquiries.
The successful applicant will be customer service oriented and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to Customers ensuring an exceptional customer service experience
-
Liaise between Sales Account Managers and other departments to facilitate the transfer of feedback and information
-
Enter orders into the system and follow-up
-
Act as a liaison with the account in order to meet and resolve needs
-
Provide technical assistance to customers by answering their questions, or researching when answers are not immediately available
-
Liaise with Administrative, Technical, and Operations department to ensure smooth order flow and successful resolution of consumer needs
-
Resolve problems with a high level of customer service, focusing on customer satisfaction
Skills and Qualifications:
-
French/English (spoken & written)
-
Completion of High School
-
1-2 years of previous experience in Customer Service
-
Knowledge of the natural health products industry an asset

Excellent interpersonal skills
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Comfort and skill in problem solving and resolving customer issues

Strong organizational skills
Compensation:
$17.00 per hour + comprehensive benefits package.
