Your true beauty is your inner strength
Calcium intake is vital both for developing and for mature bones. Yet many factors prevent us from properly absorbing and using this very important mineral, including the form of the calcium, lack of stomach acidity, and the absence of companion nutrients. Also, exactly how much true calcium is available for absorption? Salus Calcium Magnesium Liquid is specially formulated to ensure maximum absorption of calcium by addressing these factors.
Why choose Salus Calcium Magnesium Liquid?
Research indicates that many calcium supplements offer little absorbable calcium to the body. Minerals bound to inorganic compounds are considerably less useful to the body than the very easily absorbed organic forms. That's why you'll find only the organic compounds of calcium, magnesium and zinc in Salus Calcium Magnesium Liquid.
Another advantage to taking Salus Calcium Magnesium Liquid is its liquid form. Liquids absorb better than tablets because their compounds are suspended. Tablets are very compressed. The stomach does not break tablets down effectively, absorbing only 20 per cent. The rest is lost.
Research also shows that low stomach acidity - common in most people - limits calcium absorption. Salus Calcium Magnesium Liquid contains delicious tropical fruit juices that add the proper acid balance needed to ensure maximum absorption.
Companion Nutrients: Magnesium, Vitamin D and Zinc
Without magnesium, high amounts of calcium and vitamin D can lead to a hardening of arteries and blood vessels or to kidney stone formation. Because of its ability to increase calcium absorption, magnesium intake is essential with calcium supplementation. This is why Salus Calcium Magnesium Liquid contains a significant amount of magnesium.
As well vitamin D, zinc, and a proper acid balance in the stomach are all required for maximum absorption of calcium and magnesium from the digestive tract. These have also been included in this unique formula.
Do Calcium and Iron really interfere with the absorption of the other?
Yes. The reason is that they are competing for the same absorption sites in the small intestine. This can be confusing, since both are present in spinach, and other vegetables; however, it must be remembered that they are not present in high amounts in food, so there are probably enough absorption sites to absorb both.
In a supplement however, the doses are high and so the maximum absorption sites are needed by each nutrient. These two minerals can be taken 2 hours apart from each other. If it is calcium carbonate, it needs to be taken with food to increase its absorption.
However, our calcium tonic does not require that, because it already has good absorption rates. Calcium actually interferes with absorption of many nutrients so it is best taken alone away from other supplements. Best taken at bedtime, because it helps induce sleep.
